National Geographic Traveler Magazine was responsible for convening a group of 280 experts in international tourism to vote whom they consider as the best tourist destinations in the world history. This group of experts to give their vote took into account the environmental and cultural integration of fate receptive.

For the study were selected only those communities with a historical, rated among the considerations and preserving the quality of the countryside. Among the first 10 sites selected include:

  • Washau Valley and Melk Abbey in Austria, a place famous for promoting equity.
  • The Rideau canal corridor in Ontario, Canada, the place recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  • The historic areas of Nikko in Japan, where there are religious sites and art gardens.
  • The city of Graz in Austria. City with an imperial past, located east of Austria and very near the border with Slovenia and Hungary.
  • Gamla Stan, Old Town of Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Aix-en, the former capital of Provence in France.
  • The historic areas of Potsdam in Germany.
  • Dijon and Burgundy in France.
  • The wonderful rooms of the wine in Mendoza, Argentina.
