The temple Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew in Thai province of Sisaket really surprised us with its design as it was constructed with glass bottles.

The Temple is an example of what can be done with recycled material. Buddhist monks in their construction using nothing more and nothing less than a million glass bottles of beer Chang brown and green bottles of Heineken beer, as the only element in your decor.

This particular temple was built about 400 miles northeast of Bangkok, the city of Khun Han close to the border in Cambodia.

During its construction the Buddhist monks decided to gather this amount of glass bottles as a useful example of recycling, and we mobilized the people of the area in a cleaning operation that culminated in this unique and exquisite temple that beautifully reflects the sun of Thai.
