A Salt Cathedral in the former capital of Poland
A very interesting destination and to get out of the ordinary, salt of the excavations are being done from the thirteenth century, in Krakow, more precisely in the Polish city of Wieliczka.
It is in this zone where the tourist attraction known as the underground salt cathedral, which integrates the list of World Heritage. The mine is one of the oldest in the world, and after several changes the place was adapted to the tourism mining, receiving thousands of visits per year.
Site tunnels reach a depth of 327 meters and a length of 300 kilometers, where visitors can travel by different paths knowing spaces decorated with great detail. A surprising destination where you can appreciate almost 4 kilometers of tunnels shaped salt and different objects like statues carved on rock own salt by the miners themselves.
